Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+)

NAD+ is an essential molecule found in every cell of the body. It is a coenzyme of Vitamin B3 (niacin) that is responsible for over 5,000 different biochemical reactions throughout the body. NAD+ participates in more reactions than any other vitamin-derived molecule. NAD+ IV therapy is an emerging vitamin therapy that is all-natural and has shown outstanding results. IV NAD+ therapy has shown greatest benefit when used for the treatment of addiction, age-related diseases, concussion/chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and chronic fatigue. The IV therapy can last from 3 to 15 days.

Addiction Recovery (for Opioid Dependence, Suboxone Detox, Benzodiazephine Detox, Alcohol Detox and Methadone Detox)

IV NAD+ increases the overall success of recovery from addictions in the long term. Addiction is a brain disease with underlying root causes that have not been effectively treated since relapse rates are 50-90%. To date, the most effective treatment for addictions is psychotherapy, which rewires the brain. NAD+ differs from typical treatment options because it is natural, restorative, provides energy, and helps balance and protect the body and brain. The most profound effect of adding IV NAD+ to an addiction protocol is it’s ability to reduce cravings, prevent depression, and boost energy levels. This is important since these are closely associated with detoxification from alcohol/benzodiazepines and opiate withdrawal. IV NAD+ therapy has been observed clinically to reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings in 90 percent of patients after as few as 10-15 consecutive treatments.

Age-Related Diseases

IV NAD+ therapy is the best natural brain-restoring therapy that enhances cognitive performance. It increases neuronal function, protects cells against damage, toxicity and death, and promotes mitochondrial biogenesis. The importance of this is clear in the aging brain that suffers cognitive decline. With age, neurodegeneration occurs where there is loss of structure and function of the neurons. NAD+ is neuroprotective thereby improving concentration, memory, mental clarity, mood, balance, vision and hearing. This essentially results from improvements in DNA methylation, lengthening of telomeres and reduction in inflammatory processes. The improvement in cognitive function can be attributed to reduction in arterial blood vessel stiffness. There is also associated improvement in skin elasticity and lung function, and improvement in overall cholesterol levels and hormone levels. This can be achieved in 10-15 consecutive treatments.

Concussion and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE)

IV NAD+ shows particular promise in patients with mild traumatic brain injuries, and post-concussive syndromes. When left untreated these can develop into Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), which is a progressive degenerative disease that resembles neurodegeneration of the aging brain. This can manifest as impaired concentration as well as short-term memory loss. More commonly, however, patients with these injuries will experience severe depression, substance abuse, emotional instability, aggressiveness, poor impulse control, irritability and possibly early dementia. IV NAD+ therapy can be used to potentially mitigate the progression of permanent brain damage after a traumatic injury.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

Those who suffer from chronic fatigue battle with debilitating symptoms on a daily basis. The exact etiology of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is unclear. Conventional treatments consist of a combination of medications including antidepressants, sleep aids and analgesics. IV NAD+ therapy addresses the core issue by supplying the body with the energy it needs for healing at a cellular level. NAD+ increases the production of ATP, which is the currency that cells use for energy. Patients note a clinical improvement in symptoms such as fatigue/malaise, neurocognitive difficulties, sleep disturbances, headaches, muscle weakness, joint pain and muscle pain. This occurs after as few as 7 consecutive treatments, and studies have shown even further significant improvements with the addition of co-enzyme Q10.
